If you are an adult, guitar lessons are a wonderful way to participate in the enjoyment that music brings us in our everyday lives. Whether you are seeking beginner guitar lessons in Manhasset or anywhere else in Nassau County, or you are looking to build on your foundation with advanced guitar lessons, our L.I. customers trust us as the premier providers of guitar lessons in the region.
As for children, studies have shown that children who learn to play an instrument are more likely to excel in virtually every facet of their scholastic pursuits.
We offer both traditional and non-traditional approaches in our guitar lessons, according to which is most appropriate for the student. Additionally, the guitar has the added convenience of being a portable instrument.

ACOUSTIC GUITAR |
|
Our experienced teachers are professional performers as well. Students of guitar may choose to study acoustic and/or electric guitar for their lessons.
The acoustic guitar may be nylon or steel stringed depending on the type of music and the student’s preference.
The “un-plugged” approach of the acoustic guitar in popular music has made history for its real and genuine raw sound. There is also the extraordinary sound of the classical nylon stringed guitar which some may prefer to focus on in their studies.

We have many qualified, experienced teachers of electric guitar on our staff. They will teach the student how to play his or her favorite music from the radio or from any other source.
Our teachers are currently active performers in bands of many genres including rock, jazz, reggae, Latin, pop and alternative. The quality and experience of our instructors is another reason how we manage provide the best guitar lessons Nassau County has to offer!

This sometimes overlooked instrument is an ideal option for beginner guitar lessons in Manhasset or students anywhere on L.I. looking for something different than what the crowd usually opts for. |

GUITAR PROGRAMS |
|
We believe that music lessons should be enjoyable and fun. With that in mind, we tailor your program to you or your child to suit your needs and wishes.
For our students in grades 1-12, we offer standard programs (reading music, technical exercises, repertoire and music theory) as well as modified programs to suit each individual student (repertoire only, for example). Technical exercises may include any combination of scales, chords, arpeggios and finger strengthening exercises.
We encourage all students from ages 10 to adult to choose which music you wish to play and then we give you the skills to play it. This customizable approach makes us sought after for our guitar lessons on Long Island and throughout New York.

IN-HOME GUITAR LESSONS |
|
It is most common for students of guitar to take one lesson each week. Lessons may be 30, 45 or 60 minutes long.
Each week the student will study with the same qualified, experienced teacher, providing a strong and lasting relationship that improves the results that you see from your guitar lessons in Nassau County. It's another way that Kathryn Brickell Music stands out from the crowd.
Practicing guidelines vary with each student. Students may practice from 15 to 60 minutes, 5-6 days a week depending primarily on their age and patience for practicing. It is best to practice at the same time every day! This instills practicing as a habit that is part of the student’s everyday schedule just like homework.
If you do your part by practicing, our instructors will provide everything you need for successful and enjoyable guitar lessons in Nassau County and elsewhere on L.I.
