Young children, ages 4-6 are at a wonderful age in terms of their ability to absorb information! They will retain the information learned in a music lesson from one week to the next. They readily absorb the location of the notes on the piano keyboard and the basic rhythms. They are able to play by color, then letters, and will grow into reading notes. Beginning piano lessons at four years old deeply ingrains the concepts of music and practicing. This will help the child’s concentration, sense of discipline, and math and reading skills.
